During the recent inter-congregational leadership meeting in Subang, the brethren agreed to work closely together for the cause of the gospel.

We were much encouraged by the demonstration of unity among the leadership with regards the work of the Lord in Malaysia. The apostle Paul had written thus in Phil. 1:27 -28; 2:1-3:  “Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ: that, whether I come and see you or be absent, I may hear of your state, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the gospel; and in nothing affrighted by the adversaries: …  If there is therefore any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassions, make full my joy, that ye be of the same mind, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind; doing nothing through faction or through vainglory,”

Truly the brethren are of one mind to work together to bring the gospel to as many as possible. In that connection, the brethren have agreed to jointly organize a city-wide campaign in December of 2010. Bro Charlie Chan of Subang congregation has been nominated to coordinate the committee to organize the city-wide campaign. The first campaign would be aimed at the Klang valley. Subsequent campaigns would be held in other parts of the country, such as Melaka, JB and other cities. This is an exciting development for the work in this part of the world.

The brethren have also agreed to have an inter-congregational church camp in June 2010 and bro. Richard Lim from Klang has been requested to coordinate the organization of the Camp. Thus far, each congregation has been organizing its own family camp. With this joint effort, all the congregations in Malaysia and Singapore will have the opportunity of participating in the inter-congregational camp. This will facilitate greater fellowship among the brethren in this part of the world and hopefully will foster closer working relationship with one another.

It has also been suggested that Bro Eddy Ee and Four Seas College be requested to assist in maintaining a central data base of churches in this region to facilitate brethren who may travel to these places for work assignments or vacation. They would be able to meet with brethren where they travel to. At the moment such information is not readily available and brethren often do not know who they can meet during their travels. For instance we learned recently that there are congregations in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in Cambodia with whom brethren may meet with.
