Acts 8:30-31

“So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?”
And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him.”

Studying the Bible is not just an integral part of building our knowledge about Christianity, it is ESSENTIAL to the strengthening of one’s faith & works as a Christian which lead to salvation. The inspired apostle Luke, writes of early believers who “received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. ” (Acts 17:11)

The apostle Paul also reminds in his epistles that faith in Christ can only begin through the “hearing of the word of God” (Romans 10), which comes through teaching & preaching. We are encouraged to increase our knowledge in God according to Bible, rather than through philosophy, empty deceit, traditions of men, or the basic principles of the world. (Colossians 1:9-10, 2:7-8).
